Another week starts and I'm looking forward to Idol...
I really didn't think it was going to be Alexis that went...I don't think that Michael Sarver is all that good...He's ok, but it must be that people just find him likeable. He'd just gotten done talking about how hard it is to be away from his kids - well buddy, it might be hard now, but the tour will probably be more difficult. But better in the long run for his "career."
I have a friend who was trying to put together an event and thought an Idol runner up would be a good thing to bring in people. David Archuletta was the one they were going for...$200,000 for a one hour concert. wow...
Here Comes the Dramafest...
Oh, PLEASE...they brought Tatiana back to Idol for the Wild Card Show just so I would have something to write about...this girl could never win because whe can't put together a sentence when she is happy...or when she is sad...or when she is angry. And when she calmed down, she was just plain old weird!! She can actually sing, but I think she might be in need of...well...HELP. Does she not have any friends or family who might say..."Tatiana, Honey - when you aren't singing, they are making fun of you." I suppose that is better than William Hung.
We shall see...
Who hoo! Gotta love the snow...
Pretty to look at but not fun to drive in. Well, actually it is kind of fun, but I'd rather not hit anything, you know? I remember as a kid my mom would take us to a parking lot some place when we had a good snow and do donuts...
Snow day!! So, how many of you got a "snow day" due to the weather? I was pretty late getting here, but I can make it up by staying later. If I get into trouble, I'll let you know...
Any scary driving stories? Did you get stuck anyplace?
Injury seems to be fine now...muscle spasms have stopped!
Thanks for all of the well wishes...
So...this American Idol thing - thank goodness America didn't put through the the Norman Gentle/Nick person. Sure, He's funny, and actually can sing...but when he was up there in the group number, he looked so out of place and like a stale saltine cracker walking around on stage...bring him back as a character to help with those awkward "live" moments or to help Paula "get the words out." But as a contestant? No...here's the funny part - I don't vote for the contestants. I think I tried once for Bo Bice, but that was it. I think I'm just lazy...but opinionated!
Did America truly get it right last night? With Adam and Allison, yes...the other guy? Well, considering I can't even remember his name...I don't know...he was all right, but I liked Megan better...
On ER, of course we couldn't have Neela and "Whats his name" ride off into the sunset happliy...gotta have drama about something...Loved it when Dr. Banfield's wife slugged the guy at the adoption agency. haha!
So, this injury I've been talking cryptically about...
Turns out to be a muscle spasm that just won't relax! So this weekend I have been ordered to REST. Boring!! Maybe I'll get some cool stuff posted on here...
BTW - Jeff the Mestro said that my blog looks like I didn't have a good Valentine's Day - I DID!! really...great new red boots...went to the Separate Ways show at SunnyBrook Ballroom - what a neat place - and a good Journey tribute band...
Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day Weekend.
If you are sick of all of the Valentine's crap, just be glad it's over and you have almost a year to recover.
Fringe Followers...I can't believe there arent any new episodes till, what? April? is this all because of March Basketball insanity? I guess I'll have to start renting movies again.
my cable bill is massive as it is, so I really don't want to add to it...I had one of those mail order ones and found that I wasn't using it...I dropped it about 4 months ago and don't miss it - YET.
I love college football. Basketball - I don't really care for. I'm not sure why. I mean
I'll watch it, and I understand it, but I just dont get "into" it like I do football.
On the other end of the spectrum - Desperate Housewives. "Edie" Nicolette Sheridan's catty character. Her husband Dave doesnt care about anything other than killing Mike.
But didnt we also getthe idea, too - that he wanted to kill M.J. too? Sick.
We shall see, I guess - rumor has it that Dave will try to Kill Edie and she'll somehow get away and die anyway in some sort of accident...
Farvre Retires...AGAIN!
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-jets-favreretires&prov=ap&type=lgns
for good this time...apparently....
Hi! Just 'lil 'ole me...Did you watch the Grammys? I kind of tuned in and out...my normal Sunday night lineup is America's Funniest Home Videos - did you see the Chiuahua Wee-Wee? Too funny! Glad they won...hope the little guy can get a new sweater...
I was watching Desperate Housewives...it was pretty good...I liked Edie'sline - "I liked the poor paunchy Gaby better."
It will be interesting to see what kind of mishaps & misadventures there will be in Susan's new Job...I picture paint everywhere...and of course a new boyfriend.
I feel bad because Scavo's restaurant looks like a good place...how dare Bree throw out all that good food! She's a snob...LOL
Look at me feeling bad for a business that isn't doing well...on a TV show! There are plenty of real-life ones to feel bad about! As my penance, I will find a local pizza place and patronize it. Bad Randi! (yum!)
How cool is this? I had no idea! And I LOVE this show!
'Fringe' co-stars Anna Torv and Mark Valley wed
If you would like to send a card to the famly of Billy Powell from Lynyrd Skynyrd...I got this from a fan site"
NEW YORK (AP) - Life imitates art at the Fox series "Fringe," where co-stars Anna Torv and Mark Valley have wed.
Torv's representative, Jen Turner, says the couple were married in a small, hush-hush ceremony in December after secretly dating for several months.
Torv, 29, plays FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham on "Fringe." Valley, 44, played Dunham's partner and secret lover, agent John Scott, when the series began last fall. But their relationship took a mysterious turn when Scott was seemingly killed and exposed as Dunham's apparent betrayer.
Aunt Jane Van Zant has volunteered to take care of getting any cards etc
you would like to send in and she will make sure that the Powell family
gets them. So if you would like to send a card or letter you can do so

THE LATEST ON THE BAILOUT/STIMULUS: Well, it looks like it is going to happen...so, where does the money go? some surprising places. "Neighborhood stabilization activities" copy and paste that into your search engine and see where it goes...probably to public housing websites, and that is fine...but there are other organizations who will get a chunk of the money. I'm sure that in the coming weeks we will find out more about some places the money is going to go - that we never ever thought would need money...or groups we've never heard of - but this one stands out:
Does ACORN need to be bailed out? let me know what you think! Thanks!
two things:
I can no longer stand the stink bugs...I guess they just want to get warm, too - they know the storm is upon us...I think someone with "connections" is placing them in the studio.
and...
I think this might be one of the saddest things I have ever read...and it has nothing to do with cats. What kind of a monster could do these things? I know that you discipline kids, but come ON!!

OLD SCHOOL SATURDAY NIGHT ROLLER SKATING
We did it! We went Roller Sakting - and it was fun! And neither of us landed on our hind ends. I'm not nearly as good as I used to be - so I think Roller Derby is out. I woud say "a little practice and I'll be as good as I was when I was in middle school" - I thought the same thing about softball and look where that got me! I was a huge handicap to the team and got all skinned up and bruised....hmmmm...is it worth it? SURE!
HERE WE GO! IT'S IDOL TIME!
I have no idea why I like this silly show so much...seriously...I guarantee that I woud have auditoned for it if i were "that age" when it came around...but now, you'd think I woud be annoyed by it. Nope. We'll see about the "changes" that are beng made - the 4th judge, more "character development" with the top contestants. the top 24 will be the top 36 now...and fewer "themed" shows...no more evenings of Burt Bacharach, thank goodness...fewer cringingly bad contestants...
what do you think? 27 million viewers can't be wrong!! E-mail me and let me know. Will you watch this time?
Snow is coming! Are you ready? Got the eggs, milk and bread? What is it about snow that makes everyone want french toast?
Click below for the forecast I use...snow Is upposed to start abuot 1am and be gone for the area by sunday mornig - thank goodness! Frank's Berks Bridal Expo starts at noon!

January 2nd, 2009...
Happy second day of a brand new year!
I enjoyed it because I didnt have to do the morning show!
http://www.snopes.com/holidays/newyears/beliefs.asp
Click on the link to see how many New Year's Eve Traditions/superstitions there are! I had no clue about most of them...
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE - HERE'S HOPING FOR A BETTER 2009, ECONOMICALLY SPEAKING!
I filled in for Ken and Jenn on Wednesday morning...you all know how much I LOVE doing that...but, they they work hard - they deserve time off too...
The trouble started inthe 6:00 am news...one of those stink bugs was dive- bombing me...I'll have to get Ken to show me how to post the Mp3 of it here...
and then at the 6:05 traffic it came back. it was NOT cool...
Anyway - I sincerely hope that the new year will bring peace, hope, good cheer, learning, and prosperity...
I'll be on the morning show tomorrow...people are calling it the new Black Friday. Stores are going to be nuts...lots of sales - so if someone gave you a gift card or cash, get out there and have some fun and do your duty to boost the economy...talk to you at 5:30.
DEC 17TH...
I got to see my 2 year old niece and 8 year old nephew over the weekend...boy are they cute!! Nicholas got me "something" from the "Christmas Store " at his school...one can only guess what that might be...LOL Very nice that he thought of me - I am not his ONLY Aunt...as long as I am the "cool" Aunt, I'll be happy.
My sister in law is due in January with a second one, so that will be 4 Grandkids for Grandma. That should do it. I am totally off the hook. Grandma will have to be satisfied with Grandcats.
So, did anyone watch that dumb show Momma's Boys last night? How dumb!! but I was reeled in - sort of like a train crash you just can't help but look at...the racist stuff - terrible, the dumb bimbo types...just hilarious - especially the girl who thinks she is a singer...HAHA...
My favorite shows won't be back for awhile...looking forward to Big Love on HBO in January...I think that is when it starts... I accidentally typed "Bog Love" the fiirst time...wonder what weird type of spinoff THAT would be? LOL
Drive safely out there!!
Will we have a White Christmas? hmmm....Poll on the home page!
Softball! Already??
funny...Jason P from the old softball team called the request line the other nght - haven't talked to him since that last game when I brought a case of ice cold beer to try to make up for the times I struck out...he asked me if I was going to play again this coming year...boy they must be a forgiving lot...I have been training in the off season...maybe if I can just run faster I won't have to hit better. LOL Hey, if they'll have me, I'll play...batting cages, here I come. where are there any indoor ones around here? help me out, would ya?
I'm still tryng to find out where the best rollerskating rink is...I know where there are some but where is the BEST place to go?
have a great weekend! The rest of the gang is out and about and I'm stuck in the studio...(it' s ok, it's WARM in there!)
Happy Thanksgiving, Everybody!
Hope you are enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and are able to spend some quality time with family and friends. I'm at work this afternoon but it's not a problem because I happen to have the best job in the world - the only better one woud be to be the guy who travels around and rates the world's best beaches!
Are you hearing some surprises in the 3rd Annual Franksgiving 500 countdown? I am! I can't belive that Southern Cross was all the way down at 424...that is one of my all time favorites...BUT - I don't get to vote! What will be #1 this time around? Last time we did our 500 countdown Sweet Home Alabama was number 1. We'll find out sometime Sunday afternoon!
Hope your holiday was great - I'll be out and about for Black Friday - At the Zionsville Antique Mall from Noon to 2 and then at the Immix Wireless location at the Promenade at Exeter. Hope to see you there!
Wednesday, November 19th -
Sorry it took me forever to write again...things got crazy busy with cats going to the vet and stuff. You know how it is. All three of them went. Skinny boy Ivan is fine...we finally got him back up to 11 lbs...he's a VERY big cat. if he were big boned he'd be a 20 lb cat! He's just tall and skinny - and apparenly constipated. ewww. WOW! bet you never thought you'd read that on here! Bella is Chubby like her Mom :) and Hazy's doing reallty well at over 10 years old.
It's almost that time of year again - time for Ken and Jenn's Holiday Helping Hand. We all work on this project at the station and it is rewarding and satisfying - and helps out families in need...last year we were able to give to 5 or 6 different families - and with your help, maybe even more this year. Maybe ask your boss if they would match whatever you collect around the office. If you do it, we'll mentiion you on the radios many times - and talk about how generouse you all are!! :)
You know what would be good? Gift certificates you KNOW you won't use, but someone else might. Just make sure they aren't expired!! We'd be happy to dontat them to the famiies who are nominated
More stuff coming up!!
This weekend is a double play weekend - and it's almost time for the 3rd Annual Franksgiving 500 Countdown. Go to the website and request your Top 5 favorite classics of all time. Frank will tally up the votes and play them back in order from #500 to #1 for the Thanksgiving Holiday & Weekend.
We will be playing Alice's Restaurant on Thanksgiving. We usually do it twice - not exactly sure of the time. One in early afternoon - once in the early evening.
WIN BIG! Black Friday - Ken and Jenn will be doing their whole show live from the Berkshire Mall on Black Friday morning - stop by and register to win a $1,000.00 Berkshire mall shopping spree! The winner will be drawn that morning.
Tuesday, November 11th -
Happy Veterans Day to all of our veterans - Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard - you all are appreciated and your efforts will never be forgotten.
Yesterday was the Marine Corps Birthday, too! Happy Birthday, USMC!
The holiday used to be called Armistice Day, celebrating the end of WWI.

Very cool "offical" poster for 2008...
Thursday, November 6th -
I did it! I bought pantyhose!
Wednesday, November 5th -
It's the day after...feel any different? I don't. Didn't expect I would. I think I'm a bit numb now.
So I've decided to talk about Pantyhose instead. Yes - Pantyhose. Guys, I can't imagine that this will mean much to you, but the gals might get it...
I have no pantyhose. Which means I have nothing to wear. Been rotating three pairs of jeans till I can afford pantyhose. Pathetic, huh? they are NOT cheap!
I told my neighbor Sue who is a coupon cutter from you know where - that if she sees any coupons, save them for me...her husband Clayton said" I've worn Pantyhouse before..." I looked at him funny and he laughed...and then he said..."SWIMMING." And then out of nowhere he said "DRAG!" So we were right back where we started...
But seriously...I go through so many pairs of those darned things, I ought to buy stock in stockings...LOL!! I made a funny! Ahem. Maybe not...but you gotta give me credit for trying...
Christmas Cash Artist for the day tomorrow is....
whtever Ken and Jenn say at 7:05...LOL
Tuesday, November 4th -
Voting Day!
Today is the day, folks. The world looks on nervously. In PA, officials say the best time to vote is between 10 and 4 - poll lines will be less long during those hours, so I guess I need to go before 2pm...
I used to say - "I dont care who you vote for, just vote." Now I'm not so sure! LOL
No matter who wins, at least the political ads will be over...I know it is a part of our voting syatem, and if the ads didnt work, they wouldn't do it. But I do know there is one show I will probably quit watching because of the "message" at the end of the episode last night. It's the last season anyway, so no great loss.
Enough of that...how was your Halloween weekend? Kids get enough candy? Did YOU? I tried my darndest to stay away from it and did just fine till late late Saturday night. At least the Whoppers are 30% less fat...the neighbors had a crazy party and it was fun...but thier cat escaped and ended up in my bathroom. I wanted to keep her because she is so darned cute (just kidding). Her name is Pancake and her mommy was very glad to see her when she came down to my place to retrieve her! I did get one nasty scratch when I tried to put her in a carrier to take her back home...I guess I wouldn't want to be in a stranger's house getting shoved into a box, either. Seems rather "silence of the lambs-ish."
Back from voting...didn't take very long...everyone was very friendly. There were people still handing out flyers outside...When I said no thanks, the guy looked a little surprised. I saw a Philly news van there and thought..."oh, no...what now?" Apparently the driver of the van lived inthe area and just wanted to vote.
Thursday, October 30th
The second best day in Phillies' Fans lives...Where were you? What were you doing? Did you wake the children? :)
We had the Champagne ready, and even open...then we were worried we were "jinxing" it...so we put the glasses where we couldn't "see" them...we even played Dirty Laundry for Pat Burrell yesterday in the All Request Workforce Lunch with Brian...and he hit!! I'm convinced that he heard it...
...after the intitial yelling and screaming and warning one of the neighbors not to break anything, we all went to our local sporting goods store...(yes, we had a designated driver) it was packed...stood in line for quite awhile to get the t-shirt I wanted...
It's over, it's over! the curse is finally over...I wonder if it was the stature atop the higest structure in Philly that did it? Or maybe it was just some really sdarned good Baseball playing this year. Cole Hamels' car is pretty bada**, no?
Tuesday, October 28thUPDATE!!
This came from the MLB
10/28/2008 1:07 PM ET
Game Five of the 2008 World Series postponed
PHILADELPHIA - Game Five of the 2008 World Series will not resume tonight due to inclement weather. Game Five is now tentatively scheduled to resume on Wednesday evening at 8:37 p.m. (ET), weather permitting.
Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig said: "While obviously we want to finish Game Five as soon as possible, the forecast for today does not allow for us to continue the game this evening. We are closely monitoring tomorrow's forecast and will continue to monitor the weather on an hourly basis. We will advise fans as soon as we are able to make any final decisions with respect to tomorrow's schedule."
Snow? SNOW? Ok, not much , but people around our area are reporting a tiny bit of SNOW. Already? Just a fluke, I'm sure...
So the game last night...do you thik it would have been called if the score hadn't been tied? I guess the rules go out of the window when it is the world series...Think it had anything to do with the TV coverage? Brian was saying that the Red Sox games were moved up at one point and the TV network got mad, but they did it anyway so as to avoid a weather situation like this. I almost hope they aren't going to try to play tionight...the wind is gonna be crazy and it is just a tiny bit cold for baseball.
It is scheduled to resume tonight at 8 weather permittng...sheesh...hope everyone kept their tickets...
As of 10:45 am. The Fox Schedule still shows House as a New Episode tonight. leave it to me to be concerned about that!!
I actally have to be at the gym tonight so I was going to be recording it anyway...
Monday, October 27th
So the Phils did it again! 10 to 2...whoo hoo!! Looking really good for a win tonight...so what did you think of Patti LaBelle's version of the National Anthem? admittedly it is one of the hardest songs in the world to sing, but I think she messed up the words slightly twice...She sang, "skylight's last gleaming," (instead of twilight's) and sang, "through the perilous flight," instead of perilous fight.
Hometown gal Taylor Swift did a good job...she didnt try to get too fancy.
REally, everyone should be able to sing along...
Many many moons ago I used to sing the national Anthem at College GHockey games...I dont think it would have been very well received if I had decided to make my own "tune" like some of these "stars" do...
Thursday, October 23rd
Whoever would have thought that we'd still be talking Phillies Baseball in October (almost November, if you needed reminding.) Was it a balk? Was it not a balk? It was certainly very, very close...ready for Game 2...GO PHILS!!
I just wish they'd start the games a little earlier...hard time staying awake last night till the end...
This is my favortie time of year - I love the colors, the Halloween "spookiness," the costumes...oh wait, I'm too old to trick or treat...and of course - COLLEGE FOOTBALL! It's been season of upsets and a few surprises...but BALL STATE? Muncie where? Boise State on the Smurf Turf is looking good...still won't surprise me if Florida ends up in the championship...Terelle Pryor may give Penn State some problems this weekend - especially since the game is at the Shoe...Penn State is 3rd in the Rankings and deservedly so...but never let your guard down agaist the Buckeyes...they may just look like a big brown nut but remember - they are poisonous...
Anybody have any good ideas for stuff to put in trick or treat bags that isn't candy? I remember getting pennies wrapped in foil...the apples that had to be x-rayed at the local fire department...those horrible Honey and sesame seed sticks...they were awful...immediately gave those to...well...I don't remember because NO one liked them...my brother wasn't big on chocolate so it was fun to trade him lollipops and candy corn and gum for the GOOD stuff. Maybe that is why he ended up skinny and I ended up...well...not. :)
Monday, October 20th
Well, that's weird - I posted a new entry here on Friday and it never showed up...okaaaaay...so we know a few things after the weekend:
*I'm getting really really sick of watching all of the political advertising...not just the presidential ads, all of them....and it isn't that I am uninterested. I really am...I just find myself rolling my eyes. Maybe if they had more of them with different messages that they could rotate...I am also sick of a certain commercial that uses a slightly messed up version of a song by the Fixx...
*We know that we are going to play the Tampa Bay Rays. It felt like it took forever for the end of that series to come. Game 1 Wednesday...get your Phillies Red out! Or you could just wear a Frank Shirt...that's got red on it. PHRANK loves the Phils! :)
*True Blood is getting weirder and weirder...Bill's a pretty hot dead guy...and Desperate housewives just insn't holding my interest any more. You know Bill can't really be dead...or deader...(?)
Ken from Ken and Jenn In the Morning has the Sookie Stackhouse novels so I could probably find out and look ahead...is that cheating? Probably...I won't post what I find out...
I tend to like books better than TV anyway - I read the entire Stephenie Myers series in a ridiculously short period of time...any suggestions for me? I've read all of the Anne Rice books...
Wednesday, October 15 2008
whoa...the new guy who plays Teri Hatcher's (Susan on Desperate Housewives) boyfriend is in the hospital..motorcycle accident...critical condition - but they are saying he is exptected to recover
I have to admit, I think I know why they make his hair look so odd...supposed to be cool and trendy and he needs to look different from all of the other guys...but man, I REALLY dont like it...
we wish him a fast recovery...

Go Phils! Ony one win away!! Matt Stairs' incredible home run was just electrifying...but check out this quote...I'll bet he is wishing he phrased it a bit differently...

A Tisket, A Tasket, We Burned A Wicker Basket!
Well, if that's all I got, then you can see already what kind of weekend I had...actually it was rather fun. A bunch of us crammed into one car and went to friends' sort of "housewarming" party. They had a Fire Bowl inthe back yard and we needed more stuff to burn. One very large old wicker basket went up in flames and lit up the back yard like the sun on a July day...and heated it up - well, like...the sun on a July day. It didnt last very long, but it was definitely one of the highlights of the weekend - no pun intented. Of course, s'mores woud have made it all MUCH more enjoyable...
Interesting weekend for college football, lots of upsets, a few close ones - a few slaughters and one team in particualr that didnt even get an offensive touchdown in the the game...and still won...love those field goals and interceptions...
Go IGGLES! That was good to see them get to the "back to level" mark...ain it isnt going to be a sweep now, but our Phils will take the loss in stride and come back tonight - I just know it...
Uh oh - Desperate Housewives is starting to bore me,...but I winder if it is just because I'm recording True Blood on HBO at the same time...

If you go to Purina cat chow's web site & take a quick test on your
knowledge of breast cancer they will donate $1. to the Susan G. Komen
foundation. The questions are not difficult & you keep going until you
guess right. Only 5 questions, and no personal info is requested. Takes
about 1 minute to complete. Here's the web site:

Went to Wildwood over the weekend - I'd never been there before...in my 6 and a half years living in the area it was my first trip there...can you believe it? My family lives in Ohio and West Virginia, so any time off is usually devoted to quick trips home - but this was just a one night thing...so we were invited to go with your friends Sue and Clayton. Sue's mom has a condo there, so we were right on the beach for what was very possibly one of the last nice weekends of the year. Very cool. Went to a place called Tucker's for dinner and watched college football. Walked 22 blocks...thank goodness they were Wildwood blocks and not NYC blocks.
So the second debate is tonght. It will be interesting to see if the candidates will actually talk to each other. I really also wish that all of the details would come to light about things the candates are slinging at each other...this is on both sides...they know there is very little time until the elections, so they are bringing up things that can't possibly be proven in their entirety by the time the election hits...leaving us to do our own research. If you are looking for truths and untruths www.factcheck.org is a good website. But remember to read the whole article on each issue...you gotta get to the bottom of the page and not just read the headline!
TV last night...Boston legal is just too funny. Alan "Shore" learned something about himself...the funny part about it is they were things that we already knew. Him being an "iconic letch" as Shirley put it, is the main thing that stands out to viewers...And he is just now figuring it out in the 5th (and final) season. I guess this is the beginnig of the end...and the end of the fun. My predictions are usually wrong (I was right about the final 5 on Amerca's Got talent, but there were no "plot twists there!"), but I'll go ahead and make one. Alan and Denny had a discussion about Alan being there when Denny dies, whenever that happens. This time they talked about them being 90 and hanging out in the park with walkers...still pointing out hot women. Everone expects Denny to die at the end...I think it will be Alan. He might be shot by a radical Feminist...sorta like Garp.
Or...they will take the 6 feet under route and fast forward to the ends of all of their lives so there isn't any chance of anything being left up in the air. I dont think that any of the characters are interesting enough to support a spinoff.
By the way, I think that the 6 Feet Under final episode was the absolute best series finale, ever.
Life On Mars - looks interesting, but it is yet another British show that we are adapting for our use. That show Kath and Kim - an Australian show...do we have anything original any more? I watched one episode of Do Not disturb. cancelled already...I get it.
How abut Eli Stone? Let me know what you think...I'm still loving Fringe, the Office, How I met your Mother...and True Blood on HBO.
Walk for The Animals and Walktoberfest
Was terrific...thanks to everyone who supported the animals and the Humane Society of Berks County...www.berkshumane.org
We had such a good time...registering people to win Eagles tickets, hearing the bands, visiting all the booths...pictures will be posted in FRank's Photo gallery very soon...
But - especially getting the info out there to ban Puppy Mills...it is really awful that our beautiful state of PA is known as the Puppy Mill capital of the US. TAKE ACTION!!

Wednesday, September 24th...
My brother's birthday was Monday so I sent him an e-mail that said..."Quick! look at the calendar!...haha...made you look...you're STILL older than I am!!"
But we did agree that our sister is the oldest and that will never change...
SO! BIG NEWS! CLay Aiken is Gay! What? Really? seriously...it seems so strange that he would try to hide it and deny it so fervently forever - when it clearly is NOT that big of a deal. Heck, Lindsay Lohan finally admitted she is "dating" Samantha Robson ...
Tonight the president will address the country on the financial crisis...here's what I can get out of the whole thing....people who make loans have been allowed to give loans to people that are really risky...it backfired in a big way...pointing fingers is NOT the answer here...but I would like to know how it all happened...there was de-regulationo...I don't have a problem with de-regulation as long as there are SOME rules in place and all of these individuals who THINK they know what is good for the country aren't the only ones running things...with no one checking on them! I know pepople who were loaned WAY more money than they could afford to pay back...and they were like..."oh well. They loaned it to me!" Basically they government is faced with a bad plan and a terrible one...one that will be expensive and might not even work...vs one that if we do nothing will SURELY bring utter chaos to the markets and collapse of parts of the financial infrastructure...I really thought this quote summed it up well - doesn't matter who said it - Republican Democrat, Independent, my cousin's mother in law or whoever...
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
Speaking to South Carolina reporters, he added, "We don't have the luxury of kicking this can down the road like we did with immigration or Social Security and dealing with it another day hoping somebody braver than us will come along and have courage that we can't muster to deal with immigration or social security. This is on our watch."
This isn't gong to be any fun, but it has to be done...and I'm thrilled to hear that a lot of these companies are being investigated for things like...oh, I don't know...Mortgage fraud? The president's speech is only supposed to be about 15 minutes...9pm tonight. I'm going to watch...
Thursday, September 18th...
So, what should happen to the person or persons who hacked into Sarah Palin's personal e-mail? What if it turns out that it is the people at SNL looking for a good gag? LOL...ok, maybe not, but sheesh!! That's why I'd never run for office...someone would hack into my personal e-mail...not that there would be much to see...just my obvious obsession with shoes...and online shopping in general...and the fact that I dont keep in touch with my friends from high school enough...
America's Got Talent goes t the toop 5 tonight...
here are my picks for top 5...
Queen Emily
Neal E. Boyd
Nuttin' But Stringz
Donald Brashear or something
Eli Mattison
but I doubt it will end up that way...
we'll see!
have agood night...Randi
Wednesday, September 17th...
House was awesome, as per usual - did ya watch? What did you think? - tell me. E-mail address is above. We CAN'T have Dr. House be some sensitive blubbering thing - it would ruin the whole show...not that they would ever go that far...but he looked 'hurt" and that is a first!
I am really liking the show Fringe. The chick's British accent slips out every once in awhile - but overall she is impressive. Writing is a bit predicatble, but still pretty funny. And it is definitely over my head scientifically...but that's ok - that's not why I'm watching it...if I want to be eduacated I'll watch Discovery Health. The old Dr. Bishop is hilarious...Had to record that one and watch it later...and I've got the UFO special that was on last night to watch...and then of course there is America's Got Talent. Down to the Top 10. There is NO way that little girl should be in the top 10. She is adorable! But she is FOUR. I know I dont want to see her cry when the time comes, but into each life a little rain must fall, you know? But would you pay a hundred bucks to sit through an hour and a half of her singing?
Other stuff on TV - I am already sick of all of the celebrities weighing in on what they think of the presidential candidates - and even trying to "lend a hand" to help thier favorite candidate win...it is pretty obvious that MOST of them are out of touch with the life of the everyday person. HELLOOO? we dont get paid 20 million dollars to do a movie or a million dollars an episode...we're just regular people and I have a feeling NONE of those movie stars even remembers what it was like to actually be concerned about money. When you take an actor who has been making that kind of money for 25 years...how could they POSSIBLY even remember what it is like to not be able to afford to go on vacation or not be able to make the mortgage paymant on time. I dont care wht anyoe fhtem have to say about weither candidate -they are completely irrelevanat to me as far as thier political views go, I hope they are good enough actors that I can forget the sludge coming out of their mouths long enough to watch one of thier movies or shows again...if I can't separate that, I'm not wasting 10 bucks or my time any more...so there!
off the soapbox now...at least till tomorrow..
Finally a happy day...House is back tonight!
My favorite show is back! My favorite hot doctor is back! Heck with the dudes on E.R. Hugh Laurie is my guy...have to record it tonight because I actually am "working out" this evening. Yes, believe it or not...let's hope I am better at this than I am at softball and I won't break my ankle on a treadmill or get hit by a rowing machine.
oh! I forgot! The Renaissance Faire was great fun for Make A Wish...we all want to go back for Pyrates Week. Who hoo!! Some pics should be onthe Frank's Photos Page...
Brian DiMario may say on his blog that I was exaggerating about his sadness over his Kiss collectibles being worthless...but he is fibbing. I saw the tears flow. Apparently you need the THERMOS to make the Kiss lunchbox valuable.
Can't believe September is halfway over...
This Random Shuffle thing is trippy...I just got to play Traffic's "Low Spark Of High-Heeled Boys." Genesis "Throwing It All Away" before that. It is fun playing everyting from Frank's Classic Hits A to Z Archive - but it is hard not knowing what is coming up...Well, other than Connect the Classics...and we know who the artist is for the 5 O'Clock Road Block.
So Brian and I have switched places on air - no particular reason - just works better with schedulng...so call or e-mail me before you leave work, and I'll get something on for you for the ride home, ok? 610-369-1075 or click the link at the top of the page...
My Fantasy football players stink. How is it one person (ME!) gets L.T. and Braylin Edwards and STILL loses? I'm not gonna drop any big names yet, but if they don't perform soon, they are getting the AXE.
ugh - oh well - GO BIRDS! Brian is broadcasting live tonight at Tim's Ugly Mug so maybe he'll see you there...
