Zack - Weekends

You know, it's always difficult to write something about yourself without it coming off like a bad personal ad. I'm going to try and avoid that!

But, I can tell you the following about me:

#1 - I'm a music geek (and sort of a musician);
#2 - I'm a radio geek;
#3 - I'm an audio production geek (who thinks Sir George Martin is a deity among humans!)

So, to say that I landed in the right field for a career would be an understatement.

There's a saying that goes, "If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life." And that pretty much describes me ...

Now, mind you, I have paid my fair share of dues, and graduated from the School of Hard Knocks (and Temple University) ... but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't say to myself, "I don't think I could possibly be any luckier." I don't take it for granted for one second either - even though that's meant I've spent most of my full-time radio career in little sound proof rooms since 1996 ... either a production studio or an on-air studio, in North Carolina, Ohio, or in my home town of Philadelphia ... and now here at Frank FM on the weekends!

Call me crazy - I've been called worse things - But, who wouldn't want to sit in a room, with the (really nice) stereo speakers cranked up, playing some of the best music ever recorded (like The Beatles, Kansas, AC/DC, Queen, Led Zeppelin, etc.) and then, getting to talk about it?!

Okay, maybe that does make me crazy - But as a t-shirt I once saw says, "I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it!"

As my boss will tell you, I can ramble on for DAYS when I get in front of a computer and start typing ... so, in the interest of saving your eyeballs any more undue strain, I'll close here.

And in the words of someone who spoke Latin ... Carpe Diem!
