Jay Pinnel - Weekends
So I realized that the "Bio" section of my page was missing something...A BIO! Hey, I'm Jay. I am a huge fan of artists like Bon Jovi, Zeppelin, the Doors and Van Halen so I feel that Frank and I are a good fit. My radio career started way back in high school. I found myself voicing a number of projects and making mock radio programs in media class. I was told I sounded good and to keep my face behind the scenes (kidding...I think).
I worked on things while in college at Temple University (Zack and I are going to paint the studio Cherry and White) and got my first real taste of the industry out in Sidney, Montana. Yes, I am so passionate about the business that a big city boy like me moved out there on a whim. I went from a population of close to 2 million to 5,000 in under two weeks. Culture shock? Yeah, just a bit. Gas and food were through the roof, apartments were dirt cheap ( 2 bedrooms $375 a month) and the closest Wal-Mart was 55 miles a way.
Any who, I worked as the station's Sports Director, Midday Jock, and a plethora of other little jobs. It was a great experience and it allowed me to venture out and do my own thing. I came back east, dabbled in some office work and found the itch was just too big to ignore. I had to get back into radio.
So here I am. Playing the classic hits you know and love on the weekends. I am always open to comments, request, suggestions and feedback. I am here for you loyal Frank listeners!
