   Humane Society of Berks County

I got my black Lab Darwin at a local Humane Society.  You CAN get adoptable dogs and cats there!

Animal Rescue League of Berks County

ARL is a no-kill shelter and you can certainly adopt an animal.  They also have boarding services for your current pets.

Miller-Keystone Blood Center

They are the SOLE SUPPLIER of blood to Berks, Western Montgomery, Upper Bucks, Eastern Schuylkill, Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Southern Luzerne and Warren counties.   

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation

 I know from personal experience that the therapists in the pediatrics dept. do amazing work, with a lot of love.
